Dit zijn de eerste titels van Disney+ Star

Disney+ lanceert vanaf 23 februari Star, het nieuwste entertainmentmerk. Star brengt een nieuwe wereld van tv-series, films en originals in de Nederlandse huiskamers. Al op 23 februari lanceert Disney+ de dienst met meer dan 50 tv-series, meer dan 250 films en 4 exclusieve Star Originals. Elke maand wordt nieuwe content toegevoegd door Disney’s creatieve studio’s, waaronder Disney Television Studios (20th Television en ABC Signature), FX Productions en 20th Century Studios.

Ontdek de Star Originals

Disney+ vormt de thuisbasis van Star Originals. In Nederland kunnen abonnees rekenen op de misdaadthriller Big Sky van David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, The Undoing); de Love, Simon-spin-off serie Love, Victor van de oorspronkelijke schrijvers Isaac Aptaker (This Is Us) en Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us) en de geanimeerde sitcom voor volwassenen Solar Opposites van Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) en Mike McMahan (voormalig assistent-schrijver bij Rick & Morty). Daarnaast zal de dramaserie Helstrom, van executive producers Paul Zbyszewski, Karim Zreik en Jeph Loeb, te streamen zijn vanaf de eerste dag van de lancering. Verder staan de premiumseries Dopesick en The Dropout, nieuwe content van de Kardashian Jenners en een hele reeks FX originals zoals The Old Man op het programma voor 2021.

Disney+ abonnees krijgen vanaf 23 februari nog meer van wat ze leuk vinden op hun thuisscherm tot hun beschikking. Met populaire tv-series zoals Grey’s Anatomy, 24, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, Lost en Family Guy, heeft Star iets voor iedereen en elke stemming. Elke week worden er nieuwe titels op het platform toegevoegd.

Abonnees kunnen zich ook verheugen op FX’s Emmy®- en Golden Globe®-winnaar American Horror Story, de komische Emmy®- en Golden Globe®-genomineerde ABC-serie black-ish met Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross en Yara Shahidi, Shonda Rhimes’ veelgeprezen drama Scandal en komedie Ugly Betty.   

Verder zijn er vanaf de lancering meteen verschillende award-winnende films beschikbaar zoals The Grand Budapest Hotel en The Shape of Water, naast klassiekers zoals Pretty Woman, The Maze Runner en Die Hard.

Ouderlijk toezicht op Disney+

Vanaf 23 februari wordt ‘ouderlijk toezicht’ geïntroduceerd op Disney+. Zo blijft het platform geschikt voor alle leeftijden en biedt het de gezinsvriendelijke ervaring die ouders verwachten. Je krijgt daarbij de mogelijkheid om voor bepaalde profielen de toegang tot films en series te beperken op basis van de leeftijdsclassificatie van de films en series. Je kunt ook een pincode instellen voor profielen die toegang krijgen tot de volwassen content.

Prijsverhoging Disney+

Vanaf 23 februari kost Disney+ €8,99, of €89,90 per jaar. De huidige prijzen voor bestaande abonnees (vóór 23 februari) worden zes maanden behouden. De prijswijziging gaat in op de maandelijkse of jaarlijkse verlengdatum na 22 augustus 2021.
